With my having friends from Sydney to Seattle, and many points in between, this is a little attempt to help them keep track of where I am, and what I'm upto.

Having friends from Sydney to Seattle, this is an attempt to help them keep track of where I am, and what I'm doing.
The scenes from the bushfires in the areas around Melbourne, Australia have been horrific.
But the thought that some of the fires could have been re-lit by arsonists beggars belief. Sometimes I wonder if humans really are God's ultimate creation.
A friend told me to read Huckleberry Finn - I've actually never read it although I could tell you quite a bit of the story. A theme throughout the entire book is how cruel people can sometimes be to each other. It's amazing how people can be so mean.
We all get to choose. Unfortunately those who choose wrong in so spectacular a fashion are much more obvious to us than those who quietly choose right every day. I think we need to focus on the positives or else I for one will go stir crazy.
I wonder if it's like the child who doesn't think through to the ultimate conclusion. Or the teenager who thinks it could never happen to them. They are of course in complete control of every situation. Just because we grow up does not mean we mature.
I don't know what it was like in other countries but in Australia it was, and still is, on television so much for days on end that after a while I just couldn't watch any more of it. Some things are just too big. I feel for those who can't turn it off because it is their current reality.
I know it is horrific! We need more serious action though for people who chose to make horrible choices as these. Regardless of wether they can think these thoughts through, they knew they were wrong before they chose to do it.
